Pressed into service to host the Barranteses, Charles and Diana are forced to pretend that they are capable of getting along, never mind that it isn't true, and neither of them are good actors. Appearances are everything for the Windsors, even if they're hosting someone who fought against Britain in the Falklands. In order to be a good hostess, Diana finds herself in bed with Hector. The resultant pregnancy is passed off as Charles's, and it's easy to tell Sarah that she wanted to experience pregnancy together.
